F1 Heiress Tamara Ecclestone rents a $150,000 a month Bel Air Luxury Mansion After Breakup

The Ecclestone sister, daughters of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone seem to be on a splurge fest these days, First we heard of Petra Ecclestone, the younger one who bought one of the most expensive home in the US last year, the Spelling Manor for an eye popping $85 million. Then there was the much publicized £12 million wedding to entrepreneur James Stunt, and her very own fashion line called Stark.

Now the elder heiress, 28 year old Tamara has rented a $150,000 a month luxury mansion overlooking the Bel Air Country Club. She plans to stay here for the next 6 months, bringing the total bill to a modest $900,000. This wont be her first super expensive home. She already owns a $54 million home in Chelsea and $72 million home in Kensington. The British socialite is hoping to recover from an ugly breakup from Omar Khyami, her boyfriend of over two years, after a “sex tape” reached her father, showing Khyami with other women.

This rental home was last sold for $14.9 million in 2011. It has since then undergone a major revamp, which has resulted in 11 bathrooms, gorgeous gardens, a huge pool, a spacious dining room, a library, wine cellar, and a screening room. She has already employed a pack of movers and decorators to transform the house to her tastes.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the most expensive rental home. The Astor Suite at the Plaza in New York is rented out for $165,000 per month. Other places that figure on the list of one of the most expensive rented properties include the apartment at the iconic Waldorf Astoria tower, also in New York ($135,000 a month);designer Mark Jacobs’ 40 Mercer Street Condo ($37,500); Kate Winslet’s Chelsea apartment ( $30,000 a month); and Frank Gehry’s New York penthouse ($60,000 per month).Daddy dearest, Bernie shouldn’t be too worried about his less than frugal daughters considering his net worth is more than $2.5 billion.
